Receive Financial Resources Through Michigan Promise Zone Scholarship

If you are interested in pursuing a degree in special education in Michigan, the Michigan Promise Zone Scholarship can provide financial support. It’s designed to help high school students pursue higher education at a local college or university. Promise Zone originated in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has since expanded to 13 locations throughout the state.

Any student who lives in a Promise Zone and graduates from a high school within that zone qualifies—this includes graduates from public, charter, private, parochial, and nonpublic schools.

Each Promise Zone location may vary in its eligibility requirements, such as meeting a specific grade point average or attending a high school for a certain number of years. Check out Promise Zones before you are a high school senior, as some time-limited requirements may apply. For instance, in Lansing you have within two years of high school graduation to apply for the Lansing Promise Scholarship. Talk to your teachers about Promise Zone – Zones listed below.
