Representative Nancy DeBoer brings both personal and professional experience to her support for students with disabilities. Earlier in her career, she worked as a school bus driver for special education students, gaining first-hand insights into the challenges families face in accessing consistent, quality services. In Lansing, she continues that commitment through legislation designed to improve literacy outcomes for struggling readers. Beyond literacy, her education platform calls for state and federal funding for special education and stronger early-intervention supports to help children succeed from the start.
Through these efforts, Representative DeBoer demonstrates a practical understanding of how firm policy and real-world experience can work together to benefit individuals with disabilities, Birth to 26, across West Michigan.
