Senator Darrin Camilleri helped pass Michigan’s 2025 education budget, delivering key gains for individuals with disabilities. The 2025 budget expands support for special educators, paraeducators, Speech-Language Pathologists, and related service providers who serve individuals with disabilities from Birth to 26 years. New investments in educator recruitment, preparation pathways, and retention incentives help districts address chronic staffing shortages — particularly in rural and high-need communities.
